Expedition to Everest Base Camp with Kili4Kids – Record of Women from Different Countries
The expedition to Everest Base Camp is one of the most extraordinary experiences for every mountain enthusiast and climber. Although the base itself is not located at the summit, its position – at an altitude of 5,364 meters above sea level – presents a unique challenge that requires participants to possess not only excellent physical condition but also mental resilience.
As part of this expedition, the Kili4Kids group has decided to combine a passion for mountains with an incredible goal – breaking the record for the largest number of women from different countries who will collectively reach Everest Base Camp and summit Kala Patthar, located at an altitude of 5,643 meters. This is not just a sports record but also a symbol of solidarity, strength, and the pursuit of a common goal. For us, participation in this expedition is not only a physical challenge but also an expression of support and solidarity for the children we help through our organization.
The entire journey covers a total distance of 130 kilometers, traversing some of the most spectacular and rugged terrain in the world. Our adventure begins in Lukla, a small village that can be reached by plane from Kathmandu. From there, participants trek through picturesque valleys, passing traditional villages, terraced rice fields, and impressive suspension bridges. With each passing day, the adventurers gradually adjust to the increasing altitude, which is crucial for acclimatization in this challenging environment.
The path to Base Camp is not only a physical challenge but also a spiritual adventure. Every step brings us closer to the majestic views of Everest and other Himalayan peaks. Along the way, we will meet the Sherpas, who have lived in this region for generations and assist climbers in achieving their goals. Their tradition, knowledge, and remarkable resilience are invaluable in this harsh environment.
Upon reaching Base Camp, the Kili4Kids group does not stop there – our women, representing different nationalities and cultures, will make their final attempt to summit Kala Patthar, from where an unmatched view of Everest awaits. Every step of this expedition is not just a physical triumph but also a step toward a greater cause – supporting children in need. Through this expedition, we are raising funds that will allow our organization to continue helping children in difficult life situations, supporting education, and improving their lives for the better.

In 2019, the Kili4Kids team climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro to fund a school in Kenya, and in 2023, they took on a new challenge by reaching the summit of Mt. Kenya, surpassing their fundraising goal for a school in Tanzania.
